A CHURCH pre-school has been praised by Ofsted inspectors.
Rishton Parish Church Pre-School was found to be providing a ‘good’ level of care at the Blackburn Road facility.
Lead Ofsted inspector Sue Rae said children were settled and thrived from the encouragement and support they received.
She said: “Children have formed strong bonds with their key person, who knows them well.
“This means that each child’s needs are very well met.
“Staff consistently give the highest priority to the safety of children and effectively support children’s growing understanding of how to keep themselves safe and healthy in the stimulating environment.”
The pre-school has not yet reached the outstanding category, as inspectors advised that children should become more familiar with numbers.
