A BRANCH post office in Burnley looks set to be the next to form part of a national transformation programme by mail bosses.
An extra 10 hours per week will be offered to customers at the Coal Clough Lane premises, say Post Office chiefs.
An open-plan arrangement has been drawn up for the premises, which will be closed from February 10 and reopen on February 24.
While the refurbishment is ongoing customers are being advised to use the main town centre branch in Hargreaves Street or Rosehill post office in Manchester Road.
The newly-revamped branch would be open 8.30am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays and from 9am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.
Post Office area manager Sue Whittall said: “We are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
