EAST Lancashire businesses are in the running for a host of top trade awards.
In total, 14 local firms have been shorlisted for the BIBAs, the Be Inspired Business Awards, run by Business Link Lancashire.
The awards have received more than 500 entries, and winners will be announced at a ceremony in March in Blackpool.
Clive Memmott, chief executive of Business Link Lancashire said: "The response we've had for the BIBAs 2007 has been tremendous. "I wish them all the best of luck in this nerve- wracking final stage and look forward to the excitement of the ceremony."
Among the shortlisted firms are Clitheroe's licensing advisory firm Licensing Matters Ltd, shortlisted for the The Northwest Regional Development Agency New Business of the Year Award, and Chris Trickett, boss of House of Trix public relations firm, Blackburn, nominated for The Harris Walker Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
