A disqualified driver drove his car to the scrap yard - and ended up in prison.
Blackburn magistrates heard that police were mounting an operation at the yard and recognised Simon Reion Wilson Kay as a banned driver. Kay, 37, of Angela Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
He was jailed for 120 days and banned for a further three years.
The court heard that Kay was already subject to three disqualifications and had seven previous convictions for driving while disqualified.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said Kay had gone to scrap the vehicle.
