THE Mayor of Ribble Valley has delivered Christmas cheer to Royal Mail workers on the run up to their busiest time of year.

Coun Richard Sherras visited Royal Mail’s Clitheroe delivery office to pass on Christmas wishes and encouragement.

He was shown round the office by delivery office manager Luke Shaw, and was introduced to the postmen and women who are working hard sorting and delivering all cards and parcels in the Clitheroe area in the run-up to Christmas.

Coun Sherras said: “It was great to meet the dedicated, hard-working Royal Mail postmen and women at Clitheroe delivery office and to see first-hand just how much effort they put into delivering for people at this time of year.”
