SANTA'S reindeer got a day off as the great man travelled by helicopter instead when he visited children from Simonstone Primary School.
David Fishwick, owner of David Fishwick LDV, Colne, gave Father Christmas a lift in his chopper to hand out presents and talk individually to all 120 pupils, after touching down at the school one morning.
Millionaire David, who lives in Sabden, said he wanted to give something back to his neighbours at Christmas.
He said: "It was really great fun and all the children really enjoyed it.
"They all came outside to have a look at Santa in the helicopter and it was brilliant to see them all so excited."
