DELIGHTED Margaret Gregson, who lives in Rishton, won £500 on the Telegraph bingo.

She said her surprise win would be used to treat her family at Christmas.

She said: “I was astonished when I found out, absolutely astonished.

“It’s coming up to Christmas so I’ll treat my family.

“I have three grandchildren. One of them is in Japan. She’s on a course at university studying Japanese.

“One’s going to do his A levels and the other one will be doing GCSEs shortly, so I think I shall be treating them, and my two daughters as well. I shall enjoy that. I’ve won a few things in the Telegraph over the years but I haven’t entered that many competitions just lately.

“I get the Telegraph every day and I’d definitely enter again.

“My daughter lives near Bradford and she’s always supported the Rovers. She always wanted me to post her the back pages of the Telegraph when she moved away for university. She still wants the back pages now and she’s 51!”
