EARBY author Bob Abel launched his first book with a signing-session at Colne Library.
Bob's book, "A Century of Change," charts the history of Glen Mills, North Valley Road, Colne, since it was built in 1906.
It has been given extra poignancy with the news earlier this year that textile production at the mill, which now houses Empress Mill and BSN Medical, will stop in July.
One of the first to snap up a copy was Geoff Pickles, of Castle Road, Colne.
The fully-illustrated book is available from The Colne Book Shop, Colne Library, Empress Mills Shop, and Pendle Heritage Centre, for £7.50.
It can also be ordered from Bob Abel, 22 Salterforth Road, Earby, BB18 6ND for £8 inc postage.
