A THIEF stole the spare wheel off a van parked while it was parked on a garage forecourt in Rawtenstall.
The offender targeted a Ford Transit van at J A Taylor Ford Garage in Bury New Road.
Inspector John Fryer, of Rossendale Police, said the thief slid underneath the vehicle and cut a wire to release the spare tyre to steal it.
Anyone with information on the incident, which happened between 9am and 4pm on Friday, November 1, is urged to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
