ALMOST one in 10 carers are unhappy with the support received from social services, figures show.
Nine percent of carers in England have expressed frustration with the support and services they and the person they care for received from their local authority.
Of these 4% said they were "very or extremely" dissatisfied, according to figures from the Health and Social Care Information Centre.
The poll of 58,000 carers in England, who look after people suffering from dementia, disability, long standing or terminal illnesses, among other ailments, did find that a third were "very or extremely" satisfied with services.
A third said they spent more than 100 hours every week looking after the person they cared for.
When asked how much control they had of their own daily lives, three fifths said they had "some but not enough", and one in eight said they had "none", the figures show.
