A SHOP to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s 2013 Poppy Appeal has opened in Barnoldswick.
The Frank Street shop, which opens annually, will be open for business from 9am to 5pm today and tomorrow.
Ann-Marie Benford, who manages the shop and runs Barnoldswick’s poppy appeal campaign, said proceeds from the shop and donation boxes in local businesses usually raise about £6,000 a year.
In addition to the normal poppies, Ann-Marie said the shop was selling pin badges, wristbands, stickers, key rings and car poppies.
