A GALLERY event teaching sculpture classes is set to become a regular activity.

A total of 16 participants took part in the 'Big Draw' at the Haworth Art Gallery recently in which they were taught to make willow sculptures.

Participants were taught to 'draw' with willow by artist Heather Ashton-Rowell. The resulting structures were then placed in Haworth Park to lead visitors to the gallery doors where they could discover further drawings and structures in the education room.

A gallery co-ordinator stated: 'This is a fantastic workshop idea devised by Heather Ashton-Rowell, we are aiming for Heather to set up a regular series of art activites for young people and adults in the new year.”
