MEMBERS of Lancashire Wildlife Trust will be given an insight its important work in the region next week.
East Lancashire reserves officer Phil Dykes will share his knowledge of managing six nature reserves at the event at Foxhill Bank in Oswaldtwistle.
He will also give members a tour of the Foxhill Bank Nature Reserve, a former cotton mill in Oswaldtwistle.
He will talk about his work at Moor Piece, Cross Hill Quarry, Salt Hill Quarry, Upper Coldwell Reservoir, Summerseat and Foxhill Bank.
Trust membership manager Alison Taylor said: “The guided walk will show how wildlife is managed with an urban setting, in particular, enhancement work carried out by the trust to encourage and engage people with their natural world.
“There may even be the opportunity to see kingfishers and dippers, if we are lucky, as they are residents at the site.”
The event takes place on Friday November 15, from 10am to 12.30pm.
