BURNLEY MP Gordon Birtwistle has welcomed the publication of the report of the All Party Parliamentary Group’s inquiry into the unsolicited marketing industry.
He said: “My constituents contact me daily expressing how fed up they are of being constantly pestered by nuisance and spam text messages.
"It is appalling consumers are not being properly protected. We need the law strengthened, so people have greater control over use of their personal data.”
