A YOUNG dad who injured his partner in a ‘reckless’ assault with a glass, was put on a four- week curfew.
Burnley magistrates heard how Benjamin Kershaw, 25, attempted to throw beer at Charlotte Brown in a pub fall-out, but the glass accidentally came into contact with her face. Ms Brown was left bleeding.
She bit down on her tongue, and her glued bridge came out.
The victim’s tongue was sore after the incident, on August 4, Kershaw, of Lord Avenue, Bacup, admitted assault by beating.
The defendant was ordered to stay indoors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, between 9pm and 6am.
He must pay £85 costs, a £60 victim surcharge, and £50 compensation.
