A Blackburn school has been praised for its standards of teaching and learning in a recent Ofsted report.
In these areas Daisyfield Road Primary School, Clinton Street, Blackburn, was rated as being good while leadership, management and staff morale were all recognised as strengths with good capacity to improve. Councillor Maureen Bateson, executive member for children's services, said she was delighted with the report.
"I am pleased with the school's recent Ofsted report which highlights the excellent work and atmosphere in the school.
"This will ensure the children at Daisyfield can be assured of a first class education in a friendly and rewarding environment," she said.
Headteacher Peter Fenton said: "My thanks go to parents and staff for their continued support. We have all worked hard to achieve together and I look forward to good partnership work in the future."
