A FREE dog micro-chipping event in Hyndburn will be held outside office hours.
A resident complained after several events ran from 9am to 5pm, and asked for an evening, or weekend, session to be held.
Financial constraints were blamed for the lack of out-of-hours sessions but, after discussions between councillors, a session has been pencilled in for January.
Coun Peter Britcliffe said: “It really is important that hard- working people have the same opportunity as everyone else to get their dogs chipped.”
The previous sessions have been held at Tesco Extra, in Accrington, in partnership with the Dog’s Trust.
