A CARE home in Accrington is celebrating after the Great North West Care Awards.
Staff at Amore Care’s Addison Court finished runners-up in the ‘care team’ category. And activity co-ordinator Lesley Quigley triumphed in the ‘care home activity organiser’ award.
The judges said ‘Lesley has an enthusiastic personality, and an abundance of original activity ideas based on spontaneity, and person-centred care’.
Housekeeper at the Addison Street home, Lee-Anne Aldren, was nominated in the National Care Awards, and will find out if she is a winner at a dinner in London, on November 29.
Manager Anne-Marie Potter said: “I am very proud of the whole team at Addison Court. Amore Care has made a big investment in the environment of the home with a major refurbishment, and I’m delighted the quality of care has been recognised with three award nominations.”
