A NEW higher level apprenticeship for senior and middle managers has been hailed a success.
More than 40 civil servants in Lancashire have completed a scheme which received a 100 per cent approval rating.
Participants from a number of government departments completed the 12-month programme including Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals, Her Majesty's Prison Service, Job Centre Plus, the Department of Work and Pensions, Lancashire County Council and One Connect Limited.
Following the success of this pilot programme, Lancashire Adult Learning has recruited 65 additional candidates from the English Civil Service, NHS and Lancashire County Council to undertake another programme this year.
Christine Goldstone, from Lancashire Adult Learning, said the course taught knowledge and competence in the workplace, accredited by Institute of Leadership and Management and City and Guilds.
