A 90-YEAR-old woman suffered a suspected broken leg and hip after a collision with a taxi in Blackburn town centre.
Railway Road was closed for more than two hours following the incident involving a silver Toyota Previa as the elderly pedestrian was crossing the road.
The woman was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital after the collision at noon today.
The Hi Field taxi had just turned the corner from Salford when the accident happened, 150 yards from the zebra crossing near Morrisons.
