A 21-YEAR-OLD man repeatedly kicked, and punched, his girlfriend and then stamped on her head during a prolonged attack.
Blackburn magistrates heard that, at one stage during the attack, Aaron Richard Ormerod had her in a headlock, and she was unable to breathe.
Ormerod, of Painter Court, Darwen, admitted assaulting Katherine Young, causing her actual bodily harm. He was sent, on bail, to Preston Crown Court for sentence.
The court heard Ormerod was at Miss Young’s address, in Empress Street, with a friend when an argument started. He told the friend to leave before launching the attack. Miss Young was crouched on the floor trying to protect her face with her arms as Ormerod kicked her repeatedly to the body. When she fell over, he stamped on her head, and doctors later feared she may have had a broken, or dislocated, jaw.
