THEATRE-goers have been left pleading for more after St Cuthert’s Amateur Operative and Dramatic Society opened its production of Oliver.

The company, based at St Cuthbert’s Community Centre in Sharp Street, Burnley, will perform the classic musical until Saturday.

As the show is so popular, an extra matinee has been added on Saturday, from 2pm, on top of nightly performances from 7.15pm.

Starring in the show are Ben Holden as Oliver, Thomas Halstead as The Artful Dodger, Helen Pollard as Nancy and Kevin Astley as Fagin.

Richard Parrish plays Bill Sykes, with Robin Reid as Mr Bumble and Heather Nicholas as Widow Corney.

Classic songs Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me, Reviewing The Situation and Food Glorious Food feature.
