AN attacker, with a jail threat hanging over his head, could end up in prison after stealing a charity box from Nelson Post Office.
Calvin Banks, 27, admitted the theft, committed on September 25, when he appeared before Burnley magistrates He also pleaded guilty to damaging glass panels, worth £78, in a separate incident, on July 4.
Banks, of St Philips Street, Nelson, is currently subject to an 18-month prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.
It was imposed last December 12 after he admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.
Banks was committed, on bail, to the crown court for sentence, on December 16.
