THREE more shops in Colne are to launch makeovers if they secure grants from a town centre panel.
Several traders along the town’s main shopping route have benefited from an investment scheme offering handouts for new frontages.
The Sewing Box, Church Street, has requested £1,522 for repainting and repairs, while Ocean Bathrooms, Keighley Road, wants £850 for extra signage.
Another £350 is being sought by the owners of The Beauty Room in the Shackleton Hall arcade, for a window display.
Recent beneficiaries of the initiative, for which Colne area committee sets aside £15,000 each year, include Green Chimney, Albert Road, Gobstoppers. Oddie’s bakery and Pendle Sandwitch Bar.
