CCTV pictures of suspects wanted by police for a spate of thefts across Pendle and Rossendale have been released.

The six men, and one woman, are being hunted for filling up cars at petrol stations and driving off without paying, shoplifting, and stealing from a secure compound.

One image shows a female suspect, wanted in connection with the theft of food from Shell Service Station, in Manchester Road, Nelson, at 3.50pm on Thursday, October 3. She is described as white, with long dark hair. She was wearing a black jacket, knee-high boots, and blue jeans, and had a handbag. A middle-aged white man is suspected of stealing drill bits from B&Q, in Nelson, at 9am on Wednesday, September 25.

He was wearing a blue and white hoody, emblazoned with the word Nashville on the chest, and blue jeans.

In Barnoldswick, a man with short brown hair, and dressed in a grey hoody and black trousers, is suspected of snatching cigar-ettes from Fresh and Frozen, in Gisburn Road, at 2.03pm on Mon- day, September 21, while the shop assistant was distracted.

Another suspect is wanted for filling up his blue Ford Mondeo car with £55.27 of diesel at Asda, in Colne, on Tuesday, October 1, at 8.56am. He was wearing a blue and black waterproof jacket, and black trousers, and is heavy set, with short dark hair.

In another fuel theft, at Shell petrol station, in Manchester Road, Nelson, a man is suspected of filling a pale blue Peugeot saloon car with £47.39 of diesel and driving off without paying, on Wednesday, October 2, at 6.39pm.

He was wearing a black and grey hoody, and had very short black hair.

In the third fuel theft, a man is suspected of filling a vehicle with £80.30 of fuel at Tesco, in Syke Street, Haslingden, on Thursday, September 19, at 5.35pm. He was a heavy set man, with short dark hair, and was wearing a blue and red striped T-shirt.

And a man is suspected of stealing a commercial wood chipp- er from a secure compound, in Burnley Road East, Water, on Thursday, September 5, at 9.50am.

He was wearing a black flat cap, a black Lonsdale jumper, and wearing blue jeans.
