DARWEN’S Orchard Grove housing development is on track from completion by March next year.
So far 73 homes have been build with 47 occupied and 26 on sale, councillors have been told.
The remaining 22 are under construction as Phase Three of the development with the whole scheme planned to be completed by March 2014. Borough housing boss Yusuf Jan-Virmani also tells members in a report to the full Blackburn with Darwen council forum which meets on Thursday that the transfer of 14 empty properties on Queen Street to Twin Valley Homes for refurbishment has been completed. He reveals the terms for a similar transfer of 16 and 17 Green Street East have been agreed by legal services.
