FINAL talks with developers on Darwen’s planned £12million older people’s village are under way.
Private-sector contracting giants Keepmoat have completed their investigations into the site prior to making a planning application. The 119-apartment complex is to be constructed over the next three years providing round-the-clock support, a restaurant, and a hairdresser.
Blackburn with Darwen borough housing boss Yusuf Jan-Virmani said: “Negotiations are under way to finalise the head of terms for the development agreement and care contract. Keepmoat have completed site investigations prior to finalising development plans and engaging with the planning process.”
