PATIENTS are again being offered face-to-face meetings with NHS bosses to flag up concerns about services.
East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group, which decides how health budgets are spent, wants to hear both ‘good and bad’ feedback.
The authority’s first ‘listening event’ was held in Rossendale in September with a Pendle meeting at Colne Library arranged on November 16.
Further events will be held in Hyndburn, Ribble Valley and Burnley.
The GP-led authority, which spends much of its time reviewing high-level performance data, wants to gather information about how services are delivered.
The events are modelled on those staged in Blackburn and Burnley in June when NHS inspectors gathered feedback about hospitals.
The experiences were included in the Keogh Report, which made wide-ranging criticisms of the hospitals in July, and helped persuade officials to place East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in special measures.
The Rossendale event highlighted the need for a specialist Parkinson’s nurse among other issues.
CCG chairman Dr Diane van Ruitenbeek said: “There will be lots of different ways for you to share your views with us.”
The Pendle event will run from 10am to noon.
