AN East Lancashire man has been charged with fraud over suspected bogus roofing work in the Todmorden area.
Charlie Smith, 33, of Borrowdale Avenue, Nelson, is accused alongside John Fawcett, 29, of Adelaide Street, Hebden Bridge, of false representation.
The pair appeared before Calderdale magistrates and were remanded in custody to appear before Bradford Crown Court on Thursday.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have been told by a caller they need roofing work in the Todmorden area, or saw a red van with orange and red stripes on the lower half of the rear doors, to come forward.
