A CARAVAN being used for residential purposes at a Darwen equestrian centre will have to be removed after council planners refused a retrospective planning application.
The caravan was first placed on land near Mount Pleasant Equstrian Centre in Bolton Road in June 2011.
But planners said it had urbanised a countryside location and there were ‘no very special circumstances’ that outweighed the harm to the greenbelt and justified the development.
