A WOMAN found lying on the pavement twice in one night appeared in court for her 25th drunk and disorderly charge in less than two years.

Burnley Magistrates heard how police were called out three times in the early hours, the third time after Antonia Lisa Marshall, 32, started causing trouble.

Officers had taken her home the first time she had been discovered, but a short time later, she was lying on the pavement on Leeds Road, Nelson, again.

Marshall, of Poplar Street, Nelson, admitted being drunk and disorderly. She was fined £35, with a £20 victim surcharge. Mark Williams, for Marshall, said she had a significant problem with alcohol.

He said: “When sober, she's a pleasant lady.”
