APPLICATIONS are open for Ribble Valley 10k which will take place in December.
The annual race, organised by Blackburn Harriers, will be held on Sunday, December 29.
In 2011, the race saw future Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee beaten by Jonny Mellor.
The harriers have organised the race for 13 years. It has a limit of 1,500 people and in 2012, 1,400 people took part.
Organisers say they expect at least that many people to run this year.
