TWO Nelson schools are set to officially open new buildings next week.
On November 5, Whitefield Infant School will mark the opening of a new building for its nursery department.
Michael Devaney, chairman of the county council, Matthew Tomlinson, cabinet member for children, young people and schools, Nikki Hennessey, lead member for schools, and Mohammed Iqbal, county councillor for Brierfield and Nelson North will attend the ceremony from 10.30am.
On November 6, St Paul’s CE Primary School will unveil a new building at the Hibson Road site which its pupils are due to move into next year. The ceremony, also at 10.30am, will see Bishop of Burnley the Rt Rev John Goddard dedicate the stone.
