PENDLE’S MP has praised NHS bosses after concerns were raised over ambulances reaching a caravan park in West Craven.

Andrew Stephenson had been approached by constituents after an ambulance missed a turning for Dales View Park, near Salterforth, after a neighbour suffered a fall.

Satellite navigation systems were blamed for the delay and the MP contacted North West Ambulance Service to raise the issue.

He received a letter back from NWAS chairman Mary Whyham detailing how the matter could be addressed with the service’s sat nav provider.

Mr Stephenson said: “I was pleased with the way the concerns of Dales View Park residents have been heard and answered.

“It is reassuring to know that steps will be taken to improve the service they receive.”

The MP is due to visit the trust’s headquarters in Broughton to discuss ongoing concerns about response times in the Barnoldswick and Earby area.
