ROSEMERE Cancer Foundation has praised the people of Padiham after it held a successful fundraiser at the town’s Tesco store.

The event was organised by Rosemere’s area fundraising co-ordinator for East Lancashire, Dan Hill, and supported by local volunteers Frank Dinsdale, Vicky Stott and Dennis Bulcock.

The ‘Collection and Awareness’ day at the Wyre Street store raised £350.

Mr Hill said: “The event was an opportunity for people to learn more about Rosemere and its work funding vital research and equipment for people throughout Lancashire whose lives have been touched by cancer.

“This was a fantastic day, enjoyed by everyone who came along.

“We would like to thank the staff at Tesco for making us feel so welcome and the customers who donated money so generously, but most importantly our volunteers who gave of their time.”
