MORE than £500 raised by a raffle in Earby will go towards the purchase of a new minibus for the town.
The raffle was held at the recent Roaring 20s Day and the proceeds of £560 will go to the New Road Community Centre’s minibus fund to take local adults and children out and about to various events.
Forty-four raffle prizes were claimed at the event, including the first prize of a two-day autumn break at the Holiday Inn in Lytham St Annes.
This was won by Bob Abel, of Earby.
Ivan Parker, of Earby, claimed the second prize of port wine, cheese and biscuits and Shirley Marsh, also of Earby, won the third prize of a picnic hamper.
