FORMER Burnley MP Peter Pike has paid tribute to a man renowned as a champion of Burnley’s past and present.
Hayward Lynn Millard, a founder member of Burnley Civic Trust and a humanist minister, and known to everyone as Lynn, died last week at the age of 87.
Mr Pike said: “I have know him for very many years, originally as a very well-respected photographer, and more latterly in his role in the Civic Society and Historic Society. He was a man very dedicated to Burnley and had a great knowledge of the town and its development and progress over the last 60 years.
“He will be sadly missed by his many friends.”
