THE brother of a 28-year-old man who died after collapsing in the street has successfully reached the summit of climb Mount Kilimanjaro in his bid to raise money for charity.
Richard Lord, 33, has raised £5,500 for Epilepsy Action after his younger brother Andrew, who had heart problems and suffered epilepsy, died in January last year.
He said that he was hoping that the final total will reach £6,000 after more pledged have been submitted.
He said: “It was a fantastic experience and I was quite emotional at the top.
“I had never done anything like this before and it was a struggle during the whole six days to the summit, “I thought about my brother when I was standing at the peak and it was an amazing moment.”
