PUPILS from Bowland High School in Grindleton visited Westminster this week to see democracy in action.
The group were looked after by Parliament’s Education Service before meeting Ribble Valley MP Nigel Evans.
The Tory backbencher said: “As I walked in the pupils were finishing up a discussion on an imaginary Bill looking on capital punishment. “They were examining the process by which a Bill becomes and Act, in essence how an idea can become law.
“ I am always pleased when youngsters visit Parliament because I believe it is vital young people have a good understanding of the political process.
“There may be future MPs in that group!”
