A BUS driver has been given 100 hours community service after an accident in which a Pendle man was injured last summer.
Stuart Day, 57, of Burnley Road, Crawshawbooth, admitted driving a ‘58’ plate Volvo bus without due care and attention on Colne Road, Earby, on June 27.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to report the accident, which caused injuries to Harold Nutter, to Lancashire Police within 24 hours, when he appeared before Burnley magistrates.
Day also had eight penalty points imposed on his driving licence by magistrates and was ordered to pay £85 costs with a £60 victim surcharge.
