A LEISURE centre in Great Harwood is opening its doors for free this Saturday.
All activities at Mercer Hall Leisure Centre will be provided free of charge from 9am.
The move comes after the recent Hyndburn Community Sports Awards, which highlighted a great year of sport nationally and locally, was hailed a success by the council.
Cabinet member for leisure, Coun Ciaran Wells, said: “Mercer Hall Leisure Centre is one of Great Harwood’s best assets and the dramatic improvements in the sauna and steam facilities make it a really attractive leisure offer.
"We want as many people as possible to come through the doors and try out things for free, with a view to them taking up a new hobby and being more active.”
Book your activity in advance by calling 01254 885607 or e-mail gareth.hughes@hyndburnleisure.co.uk.
