FOLLOWING MP Jake Berry’s recent success with finding 203 young people apprenticeships in Rossendale, he has welcomed nine more people to a Bacup-based manufacturer.
The Rossendale MP’s recent ‘100 in 100’ campaign to find apprenticeships for 100 young people more than doubled its target. Kitchen manufacturer, JJO plc, of Colonial house, in Lee Road, has offered apprenticeship positions to nine young people as part of the campaign.
Stephen Greenhalgh, MD of JJO plc, said: “As the economy recovers I’m delighted that JJO is able to return to our long standing commitment to give training and opportunities to young people.”
Mr Berry said: “It’s fantastic that we have managed to help so many young people get on the work ladder.”
