A WOODLAND activities group for parents and toddlers will meet in Rawtenstall to help young children engage with nature.
The Big Lottery-funded programme, starting on Monday, November 11, will be held in St Mary’s Primary School’s environmental garden.
There will be outdoor storytelling and cooking, mini creature hunts, den building, wild art, mud play, flag making, leaf prints, sensory games and hide and seek.
A spokesman for the programme said: “The groups will be held in an enclosed woodland area of the school grounds to give opportunities come rain or shine.”
There will be two groups each Monday, one for ages two and three, from 10 to 11.30am and ages three and four will between 1pm and 2.30pm.
