COUNCIL officials, police and the RSPCA will be in Colne town centre next week to launch a new dangerous dogs campaign.
From concerns about a dog’s behaviour, to what to do if they witness a dog attack, a new leaflet pulls together all the contacts residents need.
The council’s localities officer for Colne, Rebecca Ramsay, has arranged an event in Colne town centre on Wednesday, October 30.
She will be there with representatives of the police, RSPCA and the council’s dog warden team handing out the leaflet to dog owners and other passers-by.
Rebecca said: “We know that the vast majority of dog owners are very responsible and we’re keen to build on that in Colne.
“This campaign aims to promote responsible dog ownership and give people the information and contacts they need to report anything that goes against that.”
