A 46-YEAR-OLD man was seen following the removal van taking his ex-wife and her children to a new home.

Blackburn magistrates heard Paul Levis was also seen outside his daughter’s school despite a non-molestation order preventing him having any contact with his ex.

Levis, of Moorland Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order in favour of Serena Tierney. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months, ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work and pay £145 costs.

Philippa White, prosecuting, said Miss Tierney had seen Levis outside her daughter’s school and the next day he approached them and tried to give her a present.

On the day she was moving home he was seen following the removal van and later was seen at the end of her new street.

Gareth Price, defending, said Miss Tierney had driven past his client’s house as well and he was struggling to understand what appeared to be a ‘one way street’.

“He didn’t intend to cause any distress,” said Mr Price. “Indeed on one occasion all he wanted to do was give his daughter a birthday present.”
