A MOTORIST has been cleared of causing the death of a Blackburn College student by dangerous driving.
Bricklayer Calvin Wright, 20, of Fell View, Crossens, Southport, denied that his driving had fallen below standard and that he had been "charging along."
The jury at Preston Crown Court took less than half-an-hour to acquit him of causing the death of Jonathan Hart, a 17-year-old apprentice electrician, of Harrington Road, Chorley by dangerous driving.
