FIREFIGHTERS and police had to clean diesel after it spilled on to the A59 after a saloon car crashed into an articulated lorry.
The incident happened at the Sawley junction at 5.45am today.
Duty Inspector Des Barr said the car had become wedged under the lorry, causing minor injuries to the driver.
Officers on the scene had reported that clearance of the spilled fuel was almost complete just before 8am.
