A TOP comedian was left confused when a heckler threw a nappy on stage in the middle of his show in Blackburn.

Jason Manford, who is best known for his role on 8 out of 10 Cats and stints on Live at the Apollo, was interrupted just minutes before the end of his two-part show at the King George’s Hall on Saturday.

Manford, who performed two nights at the venue over the weekend, descibed the incident as the ‘oddest thing yet’ that had been thrown at him while in the middle of his multi date ‘First World Problems’ tour.

Posting on his Facebook page, the Salford comic said: “Still confuddled by the nappy being thrown on stage last night in Blackburn. Least it was clean I suppose but why did they have it!?

“Definitely a case of ‘funnier in their head!”

He later posted: “I think it was them doing a ‘joke’ as the night before I’d mentioned about people going to the loo every few minutes: “Hecklers, get your timing right; don’t interrupt before a punchline, don’t break our flow and don’t heckle in the last 20 minutes of show, do it in the first half when the comic has got the time and inclination to come up with something funny and the rest of the audience want to see the interaction.”
