A NEW Neighbourhood Environmental Action Team (NEAT) manager has been appointed for Rossendale.
Julie Jackson will head one of the Rossendale Council's two NEAT teams, covering the eastern part of the borough including Bacup, Stacksteads, Britannia and Whitworth.
She joins David Whiteman, who heads a team covering the rest of the borough, including Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Edenfield, Rising Bridge and Stubbins.
The NEAT Teams were established to tackle environmental issues across the borough and improve residents' quality of life by tackling a wide range of problems including refuse collection, street cleansing, recycling, abandoned vehicles, fly tipping, dog fouling, and graffiti.
