A FORMER bodyguard of Diana, Princess of Wales, presented self-defence workshops for Rawtenstall residents.
Lee Samsun returned to his Rossendale roots for the weekend, to help people improve their personal security.
The 44-year-old martial arts expert spent 10 days with Princess Diana and Princes William and Harry in St Tropez, when he was a bodyguard employed by Mohammed Al Fayed.
The former St Anne's CE School and Fearns pupil, who now lives in Elgin, Scotland, agreed to visit Asda Rawtenstall after staff asked if he would do free self-defence classes.
One workshop at the St Mary's Way store was specifically geared towards people aged 60 and above.
Another was for a group of students from Accrington and Rossendale College.
Today Lee, who has taught SAS soldiers and professional athletes, was due to visit Haslingden Primary School to give a talk to pupils on personal safety.
